What is a paramotor discovery flight?

A paramotor discovery flight is your chance to experience the freedom of powered paragliding from a whole new perspective. Join one of our experienced instructors for a 45-minute tandem flight over the Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach area and experience the unique sensation of taking to the sky with nothing but a wing, motor, and open air around you.

We will walk you through the experience before takeoff, then once we are airborne, you can relax, enjoy the scenery, and experience the freedom of paramotor flight firsthand. No previous flying experience is necessary.

How much does a paramotor discovery flight cost?

A paramotor discovery flight costs $300 for a 45-minute flight. If you enroll in one of our Beginner Foot Launch Training or Precision Skills Training courses, a paramotor discovery flight is included in the cost of training.

What should I wear for a paramotor discovery flight?

Come dressed for an outdoor adventure! We recommend comfortable, athletic-style clothing that allows you to move freely. Closed-toe athletic or hiking shoes are ideal, avoid flip flops or other sandals that may slip off in flight.

Since you will be outside and exposed to the wind, dress appropriately for the day's weather and consider bringing a light layer if conditions are cooler. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also recommended for our Florida sunshine.

Avoid loose clothing, scarves, or anything that could interfere with the equipment. Other than that, keep it comfortable and casual—we will take care of the flying! Helmets and all required flight equipment are provided.

How old you have to be to take a paramotor discovery flight?

There is no one-size-fits-all age requirement for a paramotor discovery flight. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present and provide consent, and the participant must be physically capable of safely participating in the experience.

Because every passenger is different, please contact us before booking for anyone under 18 so we can discuss the participant's age, size, and physical ability and make sure a paramotor discovery flight is appropriate.
